World Toilet Day
26-Nov-2012Last Monday, the 19th of November was World Toilet Day (WTD). Created in 2001 by the World Toilet Organisation (WTO), World Toilet Day is celebrated in over 19 countries with over 51 events hosted by water, sanitation and hygiene advocates. Created to raise international awareness of the 2.5 billion people who have no access to proper sanitation, WTD also aims to highlight the health and psychological consequences endured by the poor who live without a toilet.
